Our frequently asked questions
People have only just started asking questions, so watch this list grow!
What is twitreview?
The best way to see where is hot and where is not. We enable you to engage with the places you eat at.
How does it work?
It relies on OWLis and tweets. Just search twitreview for the place to eat and you can either click the ‘add review’ button which will take you to twitter with our special link already there, or use the OWLi in a tweet with the hashtag #twruk and your review will soon appear on twitreview.
What is the link that you put into my review?
This link shows people searching for somewhere to eat where you are reviewing. Without the link, your review wont be seen.
What is this OWLi you keep talking about?
A unique identifier for each business created by our data geeks, looks like SE36R9081.
I can't find my favourite place to eat!
Increase your search radius first if you still can't find it, then you can let us know its missing by clicing on the pencile icon at the very top of the search results page.
What if the information about my favourite place to eat is incorrect?
You can tell us if the details have gone slightly askew by clicking on the pencil icon next to the business details.
What if I can't find my town?
Have a look at our map. This shows which areas are included in our public beta and those we are adding soon.
What is a public beta?
Our public beta is an unfinished preview of our service that anyone can use. This means there will be other features that we are adding and we would welcome any feedback that you are willing to share.
Do I have to use Twitter?
If you want to review, then yes. If you just want to find somewhere, then you are able to search without it.
Why use Twitter?
Because it's great! You have to get straight to the point and you can easily show and tell with videos and images.
Can I include photos in my review?
Oh yes. If Twitter handles it, so do we.
I have retweeted someone else's review but it is not showing.
We don't pick up retweets, only original messages. If you have used the same business and agree with someone, send in your own review.
What if I can't get on the Internet on my mobile phone, how do I send my review?
Twitter lets you text a tweet in the UK for free on 86444 (if you are a Vodafone, Orange, 3 or O2 customer).
How is twitreview different from all the other review sites?
Lots of reasons. Take a look at why we are different and find out more about us.
